Nintendo’s regular news broadcast, Nintendo Direct, aired today with plenty of new Nintendo Switch news. Here’s everything that was announced:
- Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is getting Pyra, Mythra, Rex, and Shulk from Xenoblade Chronicles 2 in March.
- Fall Guys will be coming out on the Switch this Summer
- Outer Wilds also out on Switch this Summer
- Famicom Detective Club: The Girl Who Stands Behind & Famicom Detective Club: The Missing Heir both out May 14. First time localized for an English audience.
- Samurai Warriors 5
- Legend of Mana June 24th
- Monster Hunter: Rise March 26 also a special system bundle and a controller.
- Mario Golf: Super Rush includes online multiplayer and a new speed golf mode. Includes motion controls. Out June 25th
- Tales from the Borderlands out March 24th
- Capcom Arcade Stadium out today includes 1943: Battle for Midway for free, paid DLC for other games
- Stubbs the Zombie re-release March 16th
- No More Heroes 3 has zombies August 27th
- Neon White looks like an interesting card-based first-person demon slayer. Winter 2021
- DC Super Hero Girls: Teen Power out June 4th
- Plants vs. Zombies Battle for Neighborville Complete Edition March 19th
- Miitopia is out May 21st. Reminds me of the 3Ds street pass stuff.
- Animal Crossing: New Horizons is getting Super Mario Bros. themed items, includes warp pipes that work and take you to different parts of your island. February 25th for the update, items out March 1st.
- Project Triangle Strategy has a demo out now from Square Enix. It’s a new tactical strategy RPG.
- Star Wars: Hunters a free-to-play game coming out this year. Set between episodes 6 and 7.
- Knockout City out May 21st
- World’s End Club out May 28th. From the Dragonranpara and Zero Escape creators.
- Hades is getting a physical release for the Switch. March 19th
- Ninja Gaiden: Master Collection on June 10th. Includes previous modern 3D Ninja Gaiden games and their DLC.
- Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity is getting a DLC expansion pass for $20 that includes two sets of content.
- Bravely Default 2 is coming out February 26th
- Ghosts & Goblins: Resurrection out February 25th. Supports local co-op.
- SaGa Frontier: Remastered out April 15th.
- Apex Legends is out on March 9th.
- Breath of the Wild’s sequel got an apology from Nintendo that they have no news today but will later this year.
- The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD is coming to the Switch is now ten years old, wow. “With the increased processing power of the Nintendo Switch the controls are improved…” now you use the Joy-Cons instead of the Wiimotes or using regular button controls. There are also some cool blue filigreed Zelda Joy-Con controllers coming out. Game is out July 16th. Controllers are on the same day. The HD version of Skyward Sword costs a completely ridiculous $60.
- Splatoon 3 was announced for 2022!
