There’s a puzzle game for the Nintendo Switch and mobile phones called Suika Game where you drop fruit into a jar and try and merge smaller fruits into larger fruits as they bounce around and you’ve gotta do this without letting the jar overflow. It’s a fun physics romp that’s got competitive leaderboards and cute graphics.
Unfortunately Suika Game hasn’t come to computers in the 4 years its been out. There are plenty of clones out there, but the one that’s struck me as being inventive and fun is Cosmic Collapse, a Pico-8 cart that changes out the fruit for planets and also is a little bit easier in some ways. For example you earn missiles that can blow up a planet to make your job a little bit easier. The music is just as fun and catchy as dropping planets into a jar and trying to keep them from overflowing. There’s really nothing to complain about with Cosmic Collapse.
You can get Cosmic Collapse on Steam for Windows and macOS for about $5. The itch.io version also lets you download the Pico-8 Cart and a Linux version. The Steam version works great on my Steam Deck.
